- BBH succeeds again in its representation of PPF in the Joint Venture PPF ECM Holding and its obtaining of the consent of the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic. This transaction may, without any doubt, be called the Real Estate Deal of the Year for 2009.

  On June 3rd to 4th, 2009 a professional seminar for representatives and employees of self-government under the name “Local Taxes and Tax Proceedings in Area of Self-government”, which presented theoretical, but especially practical questions in the area of local taxes and local fees, took place at premises of the Institute for Public Administration in Bratislava (organization of public administration belonging to the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic).
  
  The seminar for the purposes of self-government education was organized by the Institute for Public Administration in Bratislava and Zuzana Robel Högerová, who specializes and concentrates within her legal practice in BBH advokátska kancelária, s.r.o. in the area of local taxes and local fees, their administration, legal regulation and further aspects of their imposing and execution mostly from a tax authorities’ point of view (towns and municipality), was asked by the institute to be a professional guarantee and lector of the seminar.
  
  The main part of the seminar included questions related to oft insufficient legal regulation of the area of local taxes and local fee, solutions of practical questions resulting from the tax authorities’ practice, as well as of concrete problems asked directly by participants of the seminar (e.g. employees of the Capital City of the Slovak Republic of Bratislava, City of Lučenec, City of Martin, etc.). The other part of the seminar presented the analysis of legal regulation of taxation procedure from the self-government point of view and included answers to the concrete questions of the participants of the seminar concerning the taxation procedure. The component part of the seminar included also the review of the development of decisions, recommendations and methodical directives of the Tax Directorate of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and the status of the local taxes and local fee’s administration after the transition to euro.

  On March 27^th 2008 and March 28^th 2008 in the premises of the company Summit Motors Slovakia, s.r.o., Miroslav Fašung, attorney at law and senior lawyer of BBH advokátska kancelária, s.r.o., who is specializing on this topic, lectured and trained representatives of authorized dealers and services of Ford in the Slovak Republic in the area of liability for defects of products and administrative claims of products, in the context of Consumer Protection law.

- Peter Malovec, lawyer of BBH advokátska kancelária, s.r.o. participated within BBH international team of financial services on representation of the company PPF Group N.V. („PPF Group“) in one of the largest transaction in the field of M & A, which was realized in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, as is the project of creation of joint venture by Italian insurance blue chip Generali Group, which was signed in Milan on 10th July 2007.

  On November 27, 2007, Zdeněk Husták will lecture at a conference entitled "Three Days for Banking" on the theme Banks and MiFID - The Impact on Banking Services and Bank Acitivity. The conference will be held on the 27th - 29th of November, 2007, in the Diplomat Hotel in Prague.
